“Simply Nature – Until Illusion”
Humans live in nature, move in nature, influence nature and are ultimately part of nature. In their works the artists refer to the mutual interactions between humans and nature and explore the interplay that arises from this interdependence. The works thematise the present and what came prior, but at the same time deal with an illusory future, in which humans and nature merge into one being that exists in symbiosis. A critical alienation of now, towards a speculative form of what could be.
The video works in the "Until Illusion" exhibition show clever manipulations of snapshots and encourage viewers to engage with their own environment to recognise the challenge of a future in which Simply Nature is no longer just simple, but always inclusive of humans.
