This screening imagines posthuman conditions through water. Essential to human life yet unstable within contemporary systems, water emerges here not only as a resource but as an environment. Buket Yenidogan draws on her engineering background to explore posthumanism. Leaking Into imagines an ocean-dwelling culture in which water is the primary resource for sustaining life. Drawing on themes of migration and ancestry, to consider the ocean as both refuge and origin. The Dissolve by Kin presents an alternative scenario within digital environments. Here, AI shapes collective experience, suggesting a future in which technological systems increasingly govern humanity. The work reflects the sustainability of digital technologies, particularly the vast quantities of water required to cool data centres.

Between immersion and control, water becomes both life-supporting and destabilising, raising the question: are these works imagining a distant future, or revealing one already unfolding?
